I do not believe that anyone has done as good a job with Neil Simon's "Rumors" as did The Theatre Company. Director Peg Girard, who also plays Cookie, directed this comedy so well. The timing is impeccable and the energy displayed by the cast was awe-inspiring. A short synopsis of the plot is that several friends arrive at the home of their friends to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the husband has apparently attempted suicide and his wife is not in the house. The friends decide to protect their friends' reputations, but then the police arrive and the stories start flying.

I dont really know what I expected when I decided to see Cats at Melbourne High School. Ive seen many shows there, and I have always been entertained. But Cats really blew me away.
First of all, the set was awesome. It was like walking into an alley in New York City, complete with scaffolding, old theatre signs & graffiti. Be first to comment this article | Quote this article on your site | Views: 176 | Print | E-mail | Read more... |

JERRYS GIRLS
I attended the Cocoa Village Playhouses current production of Jerrys Girls last night, as it began the second weekend of its run. As a celebration of the work of composer/lyricist Jerry Herman, the show includes all his best-known songs from Mame, Hello, Dolly! and La Cage Aux Folles, as well as lesser-known shows familiar only to us theater geeks.

My husband and I saw the evening performance of the Space Coast Ballets presentation of Spartacus choreographed by Boris Chepelev and Janna Kirova. One of the reasons we went to the ballet was to see a few friends of ours who were in the Roman soldier group, as well as the Gaditanian Maidens. I have not seen many ballets, but I have certainly seen more than my husband has. I was concerned that he would not enjoy the performance, but he did! Some shows are done so often that people think they can just wait for another theatre to do it and it will be just as good. This is a very bad idea. Gilbert and Sullivans comic opera, Pirates of Penzance, is one of the most frequently produced productions in the world today, but dont let that lead you to believe the next show will be just as good and insist on missing a current production. Tonight, I watched a group of talented performers turn a common play in to an uncommonly wonderful night for scores of audience members. Being one to pride myself on the expansiveness of my vernacular I must say that I am a bit disappointed. I cannot describe my specific amount of enjoyment in viewing this production. The show was just that unique! Be first to comment this article | Quote this article on your site | Views: 287 | Print | E-mail | Read more... |

I'm opening up SCT to local business to advertise on SCT. This will keep SCT on the web and the Google Ad Farm off. Local businesses can now offer services to our theatre patrons with a simple article and with the same format. After beginning their life as a theatrical organization in the Cocoa Beach firehouse, Surfside Players has announced its 50th season. Each mainstage show was chosen from the most popular and memorable shows presented from previous decades. Nostalgia as well as an urge to move forward to produce undiscovered theatre will be ever present in the 50th season. A schedule with dates will be released soon. - SpaceCoastTheatre gets indexed fast by Google and your Keywords in your Title and article will be picked up by Google fairly fast. Google orlando indie records or florida indie records both are Number 1 in less than a week, Google world's greatest businessman and I got #2, I was showing #1 that I could get there!
- I did keywords "Brevard Office Cleaner" in Google just to see if I could drop the #1 spot to #2. Did it work?
